Ernest Razo – CEO / Executive Designer

Ernest has over 20 years experience in visual communication. Ernest has UX/UI experience evolving from design, photography, and video. After studying design, photography, illustration, painting, and mechanical engineering, Ernest graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.

In 1991, Ernest started as a production artist at Yamaha Motor Corporation producing a variety of catalogs and technical manuals for different product lines. In 1993, he later joined the University of Southern California at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC) where he worked as a graphic designer creating educational and research materials for the medical community at USC School of Medicine, HSC, and USC+LAC (Los Angeles County Hospital). At HSC, Ernest worked with doctors, researchers, scientists, and other medical practitioners of medical institutions from all over the world.

In 1997, he joined a small company, Cinahl Information Systems where he gained a better understanding of research, empathy, meaningful products, and ultimately, the user experience. In 2003, after being acquired by EBSCO Information Services, Ernest gained more experience and continued to grow as a designer in the development, production, and advertising of their medical research product lines.

After years of working as a production artist, graphic designer, photographer, part-time printing assistant in local print shops, Ernest founded RAZODESIGN in 2008.

Since 2008, Ernest has gained much experience in all aspects digital media and has gained a full understanding of online communications, interactive media and motion graphics, UX/UI principles, development and trends, and continues to learn and explore all things visual and in all aspects of effective visual communication.

Today, Ernest and his team continue to push the company forward in many industries including medical, legal, education, and youth sports.

Alex Vasquez – Technical Editor

Alex brings a wealth of creative experience in the visual arts including video and film production, as well as writing and directing.

Alex pursued his career in film and video at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American History. That same year, Alex was accepted to UCLA's prestigious School of Theater, Film, and Television where he developed his talents as a film maker and video producer.

In 1990, Alex began an internship at McDonnell-Douglas Space Systems in Orange County, California where he became a video producer promoting key space programs, including aspects of the International Space Station for NASA.

In 1993, Alex joined the sales and marketing team at Cinahl Information Systems, a highly-regarded nursing database publisher based in Glendale, now under the umbrella of EBSCO Information Systems. From sales, he quickly moved to editing proprietary clinical papers to directing highly-technical educational training material.

As part of the creative team at RAZODESIGN, Alex has extensive experience in sales, writing, video production and editing, story-boarding, and studio lighting.
